Overview

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialized on-ice goaltender training sessions for athletes of all ages and levels.
  • Conduct off-ice conditioning programs focused on agility, flexibility, and reaction development.
  • Deliver technical feedback and performance analysis, including video reviews.
  • Create and adapt individual training plans tailored to each athlete’s development goals.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, following Safe Sport and ethical coaching standards.
  • Handle basic marketing and promotion of services (social media, website updates, outreach).
  • Communicate with clients, manage scheduling, and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain simple bookkeeping and budgeting records for the business.
  • Coordinate arena rentals and facility logistics as required.

Terms of Employment:

Permanent position
Full-time (30–44 hours per week)
Hourly wage: $36/hour (with opportunities for incremental raises based on performance and client base growth)

Skills Requirements:

Education:

  • Complete postsecondary education in the Sports field or equivalent
  • NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) courses completed in Hockey, Safe Sport, Mental Health in Sport, and
  • Respect in Sport

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a hockey goaltending coach or trainer
  • Proven ability to work with athletes of different age groups and skill levels
  • Strong communication and motivational skills
  • Experience in client management and small business operations is an asset
  • Language of Work: English
